Rockin' Roxie Matchbook

These kits are so much FUN!! This little scrapbook is made with TAC's AWESOME Rockin' Roxie Matchbook Kit! You can get your Rockin' Roxie Kit FREE until June 16th. Click here for details, then email me to order!

Supplies Used in this project:
Rockin Roxie Matchbook Kit
Miss Moxie Hardware
Miss Moxie Ribbon
Lime Scrappers Floss
Red Scrappers Floss
Palette Burnt Umber Ink
Petal Pack
Swoops and Swirls (a current level A hostess set)

Cover Opens like a Matchbook, I made this book Portrait so that the book stands vertical. Look at that yummy wide green grosgrain ribbon! Isn't is BEAUTIFUL.

Inside Cover and First Page, The pages flip down. Click on any picture to see a close up.

Second and Third Pages, by cutting the tabs in half and using them on the pages (page 3) instead like an index (page 2) you can increase the number of embellishments you have to choose from.

Fourth and Fifth Pages

Pages Six and Seven

Pages Eight and Nine, notice how wrapping a length of ribbon around the page makes a quick and gorgous embellishment for both the front and back side of that page. I just wrap the ribbon and secure with a knot of contrasting scrappers floss.

Page Ten and Eleven, notice how I used a small photo on page Eleven? It is really easy to 'forget' to journal. I used a scrap of yellow from Miss Moxie cardstock and just a small photo leaving space for my husband to write a personal note to Violet. It was their preschool date night. Word stamps are a great way to spice up a design, but should not replace personal journaling!

Page Twelve and Back Inside Cover, look at the super cool, super trendy parentheses! The Rockin' Roxie kit comes with lots of them and all the tags, tabs and photo corners you see! I think it took me longer to photograph and blog then this book took me to make!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Sharing an 8x8 Scrapbook Page:

I made this 8x8 page to do as a make and take with the Lexington Moms Group. I will be cropping with them this weekend!

The kraft is the 8x8 page and behind are more of the colors and patterns in the Gentle Beginnings Designer Paper Collection. Each mom will select their own colors and patterns for their page.

This page came together quickly and in my opinion it is very current in style. What do you think? Think the Lexington Moms will like it?

Supplies Used to make this page:
Kraft Cardstock
Gentle Beginnings Designer Paper
VersaMagic Cloud White and Thatched Straw Ink
Pallete Seascape and Chartreuse Ink
Swirly Gigs
Running Stitches
Paint-Chipped Uppers
Bitty Blossoms
PrismaGlitter
Crystal Lacquer
Colluzzle Circle Template
Hydra Sponges

12 x12 Scrapbook Club April 28th

Got lots of pictures to scrap? Love 12x12. Well each month we will be trying out a SWIC new paper pack. Make TWO 12x12 two-page layouts and keep the rest of the papers. Who knows we might even make a card or two with the leftover papers! $30, Includes Hemingway SWIC, Hemingway Cardstock, and Amberly Grace Hardware.

Here is a picture of the Left Side of one of the layouts we will do in class.

I have been told that my photos of 12x12 layouts do not do the actual project justice. The layouts are much better in real life. For that reason I decided to take pics of the left and right sides of the layout separately. I hope that these pictures better portray the actual layout!

This is the Right Side of the same layout. You can click the images for a super close up. Lots of detail.

This layout is not just for Wild West, country, Texas, line dancing, rodeo etc but it is also perfect for any masculine photos, men or boys. You will have opportunities to customize the title, colors and theme of your pages. These classes are small and very personal, you will leave with layouts you love PLUS tons of AWESOME product!

Please RSVP with payment right away for this class so I can order supplies! If you want to leave with your layouts complete, bring a portrait 5x7, a landscape 5x7, TWO portrait 4x6 and TWO landscape 4x6 photos. If you want to prepare your journaling ahead of time email me and I will send you my template, just replace my journaling with yours!

My Progressive Scrapbook

Hey Scrappers and Stampers! I have had lots of requests to see samples of my progressive scrapbook. Here are two layouts. The first is the layout that we did at Escape as a make and take. It inspired the whole progressive album class series. I was so happy with this simple, smart, sophisticated project!
The second picture is my title page for the progressive album I am working on. My book is titled 'OUR WEDDING STORY' I am going to use this unique 6x9 format to scrap all the wedding photos that were not taken professionally. You know the pictures that tell the real story, before, during and after. These are the pictures that are not in the leather bound wedding album, but are just as, or more, precious to me. Both are the same layout. The first is done with the Mimi Soar With It Collection Designer Paper, Cardstock and Ribbon. The second page is made with the Hemmingway Soar With It Designer Paper and Cardstock. I blogged both in this entry so that you can see that the paper you choose will really effect the way your album turns out. You can make this album ANYTHING you want it to be.
Here is how the progressive album class works. We will meet FOUR times. Over the four meetings you will complete an ENTIRE 6x9 scrapbook. You can do like I am and do a theme album OR you can do each layout for a different occassion or event. Each meeting will have a unique class kit and a small class fee of $15. The class kits for our second, third and fourth meeting are TBA. Your initial investment is made in the first kit. You get a SWIC Designer Paper Collection of your choice, matching Cardstock, matching Ribbon, 6x9 Album and Enchanted Florals all your first kit.
Here is a break down of the class, dates are subject to change as we firm up our group.

Fall Supplement is HERE!

Have you seen the Fall Supplement yet? The Angel Company released the Fall Supplement this week. Check it out HERE. These are a few of the samples I made using Retro Christmas and Retro Reindeer. Both sets make me laugh out loud! I am so excited to share these samples with you! Anyone want a free copy of the Fall Supplement? Just email me, I'll send yours right out!

Grandpa Claus?
It's hard to see in the photo, but my stamped Retro Santa has a white puffy beard and Crystal Lacquer on the glasses. Pattern paper is TAC Merry Wishes.

FaLaLa
It is hard to see in the picture but the reindeer on this sample has blingy spots. These retro sets are so much fun cuz anything goes, even pink rhinestone spots!
