Peppermint Patty Valentine

It's red and pink and white, cliche Valentine colors! I couldn't resist. I happened to stumble on a few cute peppermint patty ideas on SCS and had to make these babies! Thanks to my friend Sarah Moore for hooking me up with the AWESOME SU! scallop punch. If you want one, contact her (there is an email link on her blog). She will be able to help you, I am sure.
Are you coming to my project buffet and Open House tomorrow? If so, you can make one of these little treats to take home with you! Just $3 on the buffet!
I so gotta go! So much to do for tomorrow. I don't know how I am going to get it all done.

Candles to Match The Salts

While on a shopping trip to find storage solutions to better organize my crafting space, I found these great candle cups and candles. The are very unique in size, I think. They are round and about 3 inches wide, but only about 1 inch tall. I just love them and thought they were perfect for a Valentine class so I bought several sets. The glass candle cups come in a clear cylinder container. I bought the strawberry candles and took them out of the metal tins that they are poured in to mold. I then put the candles in the glass cups. Darkest shade to lightest, I stacked the cups back in the cylinder. I tied them off with pretty satin ribbon and a large manila shipping tag. This is yet another project that will be available on my Open House Project Buffet. Are you coming? If so, email me! risa_v@hotmail.com.
Supplies Used to Make This Project:

Self Adhesive Pink Crystal
Brown Scrappers Floss
Swirly Gigs
Love Doodles
With All My Heart GWP
VersaMagic Pink Petunia and Jumbo Java

1/16 inch circle hole punch

Shadowbox Tags on the Project/Card Buffet

These adorable shadow box tags are inspired by Heather Scott. At Escape in San Antonio she had a set of these babies clipped to her Totally Cool Tote 2!
Made from the lids of the little GWP clamshells, what a great way to mark your bag! With these personalized tags clipped to your bag it is unlikely that someone will accidentally grab your tote instead of theirs. Think of all the other fun uses for these little cuties! Tied to a mini album, clipped to a memory purse, or what a FUN zipper pull! If you don't want to clip them somewhere, you could add two or three more tags to the binder ring. Then add photos and more Juliette paper to the backs and you would have an ADORABLE and UNIQUE mini album! These sweet tags are just one of the projects you will find on my card and project buffet on February 1st. Make one for $3 and each additional tag clipped to the same ring for just $2 more.

If you look close at the frog on the pink 'toadstool' you will see that she is a girl. After all look at those long luscious lashes! This card was inspired by a cutie card that my friend, and fellow Angel , Sandy Gordon made. Thanks so much for the inspiration Sandy!

Last weekend was TAC's leadership/winter retreat. This year it was called Escape. I had a great time and really did Escape to relax and be revived. I spent the weekend with some Angels very near and dear to my heart! Hi Kimberly, Leslie, Awna, and Avis! I miss you all muchly!

One of my very favorite parts of the weekend was doing the make and takes with Kimberly. She and I decided we are sister stampers. We went from table to table together stamping our own twist on all the projects. We started out at first side by side making the same modifications, inking edges or adding foam tape for pop. After a few tables we got seperated. Well, we were at the same table working on the same project, but we were sitting with a few people between us. Because we were no longer side by side, we started making our own modifications to the project. We would then show eachother the finished personalized project. This have FAITH card was one of my favorite projects of the whole weekend! What twist did I put on it to make it my own? Well I inked the edges with VersaMark, stamped the sentiment above the fish, and instead of using the scrap of tan cardstock provided by TAC for the fish, I stamped it on an extra Amberly Grace tag and cut out. This is just one of many uses I learned for all those beautiful tags that come with the paper collections! I never seem to use those babies. I think the Amberly Grace pattern on the fish adds just the right texture and detail.
Supplies Used to create this card quick card:
Something's Fishy
My Spiritual Journey
Fancy Curls
Amberly Grace Soar With It Collection
Winchester Collection Cardstock
VersaMark
Palette Burnt Umber

Thanks for stopping by to read! I gotta get stamping some birthday cards. See you next time.
