G at 1 Month and a Card Kit Remade

My Open house was so much fun! Thank you to all who attended and made it a success! I will be drawing mystery hostesses tonight or tomorrow morning and posting them here on my blog. For those of you who couldn't attend I thought you might like to see a picture of Gideon (aka G). He is getting so big so fast! He is 6 weeks old today. I took him to the doctor yesterday and he is 10 pounds and 23 inches tall! WOW.

For those of you who did attend you might recognize the card in this post. It is the green version of the ice cream cone card you made. I posted the pink version in a previous post. You can see it here. I remade an extra card kit baby style. I have been trying to do one layout and several different cards ever since G came along. Remaking a kit or reusing a layout makes it easy to fit stamping in
to my very busy life.

For this card I used TAC's Lilly Anna, Catelynne, and Juliette pattern papers. The cardstock is green monochromatic, ivory ultrasmooth, and brown cardstocks. Stamps are from Special Delivery. I paper pieced baby's clothes and hat. I really love the way this card turned out. Hope you like it too.

A Couple of Cards...I {heart} Sketches

I {heart} Card Sketches! Here are two that I did this week:

The "Just Roll With It" card is from Heather Scott's Monday Sketch. I love the new Robots stamp set in TAC's newest Inspiration Book & Catalogue. I also used pattern paper from TAC's Tutti Frutti Classic Soar With It Collection, Friendship Strips, Scallop Scissors, Palette Noir and VersaMagic Cloud White Inks, and Super Jumbo Flower Punch. I colored the robot with Prismacolor Pencils and Mineral Spirits. The letter boxes in "just roll with it" are paper pieced with cardstock. This is going to be one of the cards I have available for my Open House next weekend.

The second card is for Splitcoaststampers Wednesday Card Sketch Challenge. This is the first 5 1/4 square card I have ever made! What a fun size! I ordered TAC's Fairy Tales stamp set when Serendipity came out in the spring, but this is the first time they have seen ink. I also used TAC's Toodle Loo Soar With It Collection pattern paper, Toodle Loo coordinating cardstock and ribbons, Scallop Scissors, Palette Noir Ink, and Felt Flowers from the Ava Embellishment Jar. The image is colored with Prismacolor Pencils and Mineral Spirits. This card will be included in a class at the end of August.

Now I am off to dinner with my husband and kids. Thank you for stopping by!

25% Off Accessories and a Card To Share

TAC™ Promos
Tons of great stamping accessories are 25% off while supplies last. Check out the list here and email me if you want to order anything. TAC says that some supply is very limited.
I stamped some great cards yesterday. Three in all. Usually it's all I can do to get one card made! I can only share one here right now because two are entries for upcoming TAC demonstrator contests. If you want to see them you will have to attend my Open House on the 24th or 25th or wait until after the contest when I can post them.

I used two new Purchase with Purchase Sets, All Smiles and Sincere Sentiments, to make this card. Other supplies used include cardstock from our Soar With It coordinates, I am not sure which ones though...I will look and maybe update this post. I used pattern paper from Catelynne Fly With It Collection and Juliette Soar With It Collection. I also used Prismacolor Pencils, Scallop Scissors, Adirondack Espresso and VersaMagic Jumbo Java Inks. There is Crystal Lacquer on the chocolate and cherry.
This is one of the cards that will be available to make at my Open House...See ya there!

What do you think Andrea??

Andrea and I were stamping last night...well, more like struggling last night. At least I was struggling. For some reason I couldn't get my card to come together. I went to bed and slept on it. This morning I moved the sentiment and added a few embellishments. What do you think? I used these products to make this card:
Keleidoscope Boyz Wing It Collection Paper
TAC Brown Cardstock
Spunky Sprite Boys
Prismacolor Pencils with OMS
Orange Scrappers Floss

A Quick Birthday Card

There is a weekly challenge at Splitcoaststampers to make Clean And Simple cards. I mentioned in my last post that my mom wants birthday cards with cake of all kinds. I made this card this morning for my mom using the CAS22 challenge for inspiration.
It's kind of hard to tell but the frosting is covered in Crystal Lacquer and Prisma Glitter for lots of sparkle and the cherry is covered in just Crystal Lacquer for lots of shine. I used these products on this card:
Little Cupcake - from TAC's Serendipity
Ordinary Greetings
PrismaColor Water Color Pencils
Scallop Scissors
TAC Scarlet Cardstock
TAC Brown Cardstock

My Boy

I know I have neglected my blog. I miss you all so much and I miss stamping too! I have been so busy sprucing up my house, getting ready for my little guy. I am going to be back in business soon and all the home improvements will make classes and get togethers much more comfortable and fun! I will be announcing an open house for later this month so stay tuned!

Gideon Michael Alvarez was born to us on June 16, 2009 at 10:49am. He was 8lbs and 6ozs and 22 inches tall. What a blessing! I can not wait for you local stampers and friends to meet him. He is a good baby, sweet and easy going. I just love him more than words can express.

Thank you to any or all that are still getting updates or reading my slacker blog. I appreciate your interest and hope to see you all soon for some stamping FUN!
