Uncle Steve the Chocoholic

Today is Uncle Steve's Birthday. He LOVES Hershey Milk Chocolate. So I made him this, it is a stack of Hershey Bars wrapped in TAC's Just Like Dad Fly With It collection paper. I just tied them all together with some sheer ribbon and attached the tag. The tag is made completely from scraps. I love TAC's Birthday Wishes stamp set. It is a great graphic set that takes well to being stamped on several colors then cut apart just to then be reassembled all mixed up. Other products featured on this project are TAC's Cars stamp set, Jumbo Java Ink, Clear Embossing Powder, and Brown Scrappers Floss.

Fairy Tales

Where does the time go?? I can not believe it has been a week since I last blogged. I am so sorry. This week was crazy busy. Both girls are back in school now. Violet is in Kindergarten now. Desi is in 8th grade. I can not wait until my life feels like a routine again, right now it is chaos!

Today I am going to share a couple of cards that I made. I don't know if they will be in future classes or if they are just for fun. I made them for Karen. She wanted more whimsical cards made from the Fairy Tails set in the Serendipity Magazine.

The Cat card features TAC's Tutti Frutti Classic Soar With It Collection Pattern Papers as well as the Jumbo Flower Punch, Cloud Scissors, Crop-a-dile, Tropical Mini Brads, and Palette Noir. The cutie-patootie cat image is colored with PrismaColor Pencils and OMS.
The Crow card features TAC's Toodle Loo Soar With It Collection Paper, Ribbon and Cardstock as well as Pewter Hardware. The crow image is also colored with PrismaColor Pencils and OMS.

Thanks for stopping by.

Loads of Love Class Samples

My Loads of Love class included four 3x3 cards and a cute little wagon to hold them all. As soon as I saw the Funny Farm stamp set I knew I had to work them into a class as soon as possible. Aren't those animals CUTE? I think that they look like they are up to no good. I used Funny Farm, Tag Tidbits, Basic Gift Tags and Bookoo Blessings on this project. The background dots are made with a fresh pencil eraser and VersaMagic ink. The cards and wagon are embellished with awesome felt flowers and buttons from our Ava and Audrey embellishment jars. These cards would make fantastic bag toppers. Fill a bag with your favorite candy or snack and just staple the card to the top of the bag. Thanks for stopping by! For more information about my classes and events email me, I will add you to my mailing list.

Cards I Sent This Week

So many of my friends and family have been so good to Gideon. He has been showered with lots of wonderful gifts. I made a bunch of these little notes to send out as thank you cards. It's hard to see, but I used my Scor-Pal to make a lattice pattern on the white card. It gave this simple card some extra special detail. Stamps are from Ordinary Greetings and All Season Swirls. Isn't that sail boat cute! All Season Swirls is a retired Level C hostess set. Being a hostess has great benefits, but right now TAC has double benefits with bonus features! If you are interested in finding out more about how you can earn DOUBLE HOSTESS BENEFITS with BONUS FEATURES email or call me.

The next card I made was a simple thinking of you for a friend. I used Basic Gift Tags, Tag Tidbits and Simply Divine to make this easy but cute card. I think this card looks just like my living room, but I will let the recipient judge for herself. I did the polka dots with a fresh pencil eraser inked in VersaMagic Jumbo Java Ink.

Time for me to fly. The baby is crying, seems that Barfmaster 6000 spit up in bed and has it in his nose and ear and all over his face. Lovely. I have so much to share and so little time...I will try to be back tomorrow with pictures of my Loads of Love class samples.
Thanks for stopping by!
Hugs,
Marisa

Dad's Birthday Card

Just a quick post tonight. I am in a hurry to get back in the kitchen and stamp. I have so much that I have to stamp AND so much that I want to stamp. I made this card last night for my dad's birthday. I am loving the Prismacolor pencils and mineral spirits on Kraft cardstock. They blend like a dream, smooth and easy. Don't those branches look pretty?

Products I used on this card:
Birthday Wishes
Artsy Owls
What a Hoot
Celebrate the Seasons (retired)
Prismacolor Pencils
Kraft Cardstock

I love Birthday Wishes, it is a fast way to make a card finished and interesting while using up all kinds of scraps.

Two Cards I Sent This Week

The first card I sent this week was to a friend that lost her mom. I have never made a sympathy card before. As I was making the card it hit me that if I have never made a sympathy card, then I am not send enough cards! I am going to make an effort to send more of the cards that I make. I might regret making it public on my blog because I always want to send more cards and somehow life seems to always get in the way! To keep me accountable I thought I would have a Saturday morning post each week called "Cards I Sent This Week". We'll see how it goes. The first card I sent uses a set that retired out of the last TAC catalog called Rose Garden and a sentiment from the current set called With Sympathy. The layout was inspired by Heather Scott's Monday sketch challenge. I shifted the layers to the left for more drama, but I am confident you can see the sketch there.

The next card I sent to a friend who was on my mind. She had some surgery and I wanted her to know that I had been thinking about her and praying for her. Don't be surprised if you see this card in my Fast and Fab Five Class in September! Since the card was so fast I thought it would make it even more fabulous by embellishing the inside. After all, I had some time on my hands when I was done with the outside. It's hard to see, on the inside view below, but I pierced a row along the bottom inside the card too. For this card I used the Penelope Soar With It collection papers and cardstock, Bitty Blooms, and Scrappers Floss. The stamps are from Fishy Friends. I LOVE the set. The solid images make it easy to make fast and fab cards! I used my Score-Pal to make the embossed lattice pattern on the card base.

I need to get going now. Max took the day off so we could do Cornfest together today. I can not wait to spend some time with him. I'll be back in a day or two with some more fast and fab cards for you to preview. Thanks for stopping by!
